What the film cover is, where it stops, and what happens if we get it wrong.
1. The film warranty
We cut on marine-grade film that carries its maker’s own outdoor durability warranty. That warranty covers colour fade beyond the manufacturer's stated tolerance, cracking or embrittlement of the film, and adhesive failure where the decal was correctly applied to a suitable, prepared surface.
We do not quote a number of years for it here, because the figure belongs to the film maker and varies by stock, colour and climate. If a set of ours fails on a hull you prepared properly, tell us and we will deal with it.
It does not cover: application over wax, polish or a dirty hull; application below about 50°F; standard film applied to polyethylene or textured surfaces that needed high-tack; physical damage, dock rash or abrasion; or removal damage.
2. The install is yours
We do not replace a set that went on wrong, and it is better to say so here than to imply otherwise and argue about it later. Custom-cut vinyl cannot be resold, so every set is made for one hull and one order.
What we do instead is make the install as hard to get wrong as we can: every order ships pre-spaced on a single sheet with application tape over the top, so it goes on in one pass with the spacing already correct, and the apply guide walks through the wet method, which lets you slide it into position instead of committing on contact. Take the twenty minutes.
3. If we got it wrong
If what arrived does not match what you ordered, that is our error outright. We remake it at our cost and at the front of the queue, and you do not pay twice.

What if I ruin it during installation?

Can I return a custom decal?
Custom-cut vinyl cannot be resold, so it is not returnable once cut - which is why the order form previews your exact lettering before you pay. If what arrived does not match what you ordered, that is on us and we remake it.
